| .... | Green Man Festival 2010 new artist recommendations Every year the green Man Festival features a host of new and talented performers often playing in the UK for the first time. We have picked out some of the acts that we think you should try and see if you are lucky enough to be going to wale’s premier live music festival. Bear in Heaven Brooklyn based band formed by Jon Philpott who have just released their 2nd album Beast Rest Forth Mouth which contains the ridiculously catchy “Lovesick Teenagers’. Erland & the Carnival New band formed featuring Simon Tong (Verve, The Good, The Bad & the Queen). Having studied Davy Graham & Bert Jansch alongside old British songs the band’s debut album has just been released. If you like the Decemberists and Fairport Convention you are in for a treat. Lone Wolf Lone Wolf is the name used by Paul Marshall from Leeds. He has released one solo album ‘Vultures’ and his first under the moniker Lone Wolf ‘The Devil & I’ was released to great critical acclaim earlier this year on uber cool label Bella Union. O Children London based band who have just released their self titled debut album. Lead singer Tobi O’Kandi has one of the most impressive bass voices you are likely to hear this year. John Grant He fronted the Czars and has sung with Midlake. John Grant released his debut solo album ‘Queen of Denmark’ in 2010 and it looks set to be one of the critics favourites when the year end polls are compiled. .............................................................................................................
